Bedtime Stories, Bedtime Songs

We read a story, tuck them all up and demand they stay in bed. Then. Eli looks up at me with his big eyes and scoots over to the very inside edge of his bed. He peers at me and pats the empty space in his bed. This happens every night. He doesn't talk, and I ask him what he wants. He pats the space again. I come back to him, tell him only for a minute, and lay down next to him.

He asks me for a song, I ask HIM for a song, and finally we sing. This night, we got a little silly, we had a couple extra people join us, it was a delight. Goodnight!

Wow! Quite the strolling minstrels down there. I used to lay on the floor upstairs & sing to you girls @ bedtime. My mom & I would sometimes sing while doing the supper dishes. Have a sunny Sunday folks!

Hi Shelly - where did you get the lyrics from the Taco Bell song? Maybe during our next visit you could do a little concert - we like music - mistro!

I remember that you used to lay on the floor next to my bed. I think about that when I'm putting the kids to bed and they want me to stay with them longer. My mom did that for me, stayed a little longer. That's a nice memory you have about singing with your mom, how special.

She says "from the singing bus driver." Ask her about that, it's always the highlight of my kids day when they have him.
