It was spur of the moment, no sunscreen packed, not dressed right, only one towel in the car.
I told them not to get wet. But the waves were too big, the sun was too bright, the water was too blue to resist.

Telling them not to get wet was like telling them not to breathe. They couldn't stay away. The water was so warm, they couldn't stay out of it. And then, I couldn't either.

And we were all up to our necks in the waves and then covered in sand and it was the perfect way to forget that I was stressed, that I was tired of chores, that we were driving each other a little crazy. It was perfect. It was very good.

God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.
